They are often attached to drainage bags or leg bags, including overnight bags usually used at night.Short length with 2 opposing eyes. Permanent hydrophilic gel coating facilitates insertion and removal.
Male intermittent catheters also comes 12 inches long but are available for men in French sizes 10Fr - 24Fr. Unlike indwelling catheters, they are designed for those who can actually perform the procedure and are used for a short period of time. This means they can be replaced more often than indwelling catheters.
